Middle click

Postby Derfel Link » Wednesday January 6th, 2010 12:12pm

Let me explain it through an example.
I come on the boards, search for new messages and find two interesting threads: I click with the middle click on the first one (so that Firefox opens it on another tab) and click the second one (so that it opens in the current tab). What happens on this board is that when middle-clicking a link, it opens on another tab and in the current one.
Is there a way this can be disabled?
Cheers

Sorry, I honestly have no idea how to prevent that. Middle-click does nothing for me, so I can't even test things out. I've done a bit of research at phpbb.com to see if anyone else has the same issue and my searches have come up empty. Normally I just right-click and open in new tab since my middle-click has no effect on opening links. I'm making an inquiry in their support forum. Best I can do for now. :bites-lip:

Derfel, I spoke with some pros over at phpbb.com and they believe it may be a browser issue, but to double-check, ask that you check out their forum http://www.phpbb.com/community/index.php to see if the same thing happens there. Let me know the results if you do.

Nope, middle-clicking is working there.
Thanks anyway!

So that you know, middle clicking runs smoothly on Firefox 4.0b5pre.

it happens to me too, (although I'm not middle-clicking, but holding CTRL and clicking), but I started just right clicking and opening in a new tab there.
