the soul hunter is an attempt at a shapeshifter type hero, ive been playing with the idea of 'shapeshifting' for Hq for a while, but could never get a way to make it work comfortably within HQ's rules. so this is the next best thing. i will try to find a mini for it. hope you like
Soul Hunter
You are a Soul Hunter, from a rare and mysterious tribe you have ventured out into the world to fight the forces of chaos, your magics are unusual and unsettling, use them with caution.
Attack = 2 Dice
Defence = 2 Dice
Move = 2 Dice
Body = 6
Mind = 4
Starting weapon= Shortsword, bow
Starting armour = none
Soul Stealing.
Whenever a Soul Hunter lands the killing blow on a monster, he steals a portion of their soul, taking it into him and altering him slightly. Changing his attributes depending on what monster he killed. This is a beneficial effect from most creatures, but some will impose a curse like affliction, a soul hunter can only have 1 soul effect at a time and these effects only last until they are replaced with another soul ability.
Goblin – Nimble: +1 attack die when using a ranged weapon.
Orc- Savagery: +1 attack die in melee combat
Fimir – Regeneration: immediately restores 2 lost health points and then fades.
Skeleton – Swiftness: +2 to all movement rolls
Mummy – Resilience: +1 attack die in defence
Zombie – Stench of the grave: all movement rolls of the soul hunter and any allies in the same room or corridor reduced by 2.
Chaos Warrior/Wizard – Corruption: lose 1 health point
Gargoyle – Stoneskin: may count black shields when defending.
Ogre- Gigantic- Increase total and current health by 1
