Hi! I've finished the Elf spells EU format cards. I've only changed 2 spells: Hypnotic Blaze was a bit overpowered in my opinion, especially in the EU games, where monsters mostly only have 1 BP, so I changed it a bit, weakenig it. I also changed the Twist Wood spell, to be more usefull. Let me know what you think!

I agree that Hypnotic Blaze is overpowered, but I think Twist Wood is undersold. From a previous thread:

As a bonus, a spear trap could also be disarmed by this spell, since a spear is a weapon with a wooden shaft. Same could apply to a swinging axe trap from the BQP expansion.

true, but the thing is, it's a whole spell for slightly weakening one single monster. It's not that powerfull, even if you can include iron weapons. But with your comment in mind, I'll give it another look. I might include a second version of the spell in the PDF, so you can choose which one you prefer :)

I simply assign attack dice to different monsters for weaponless combat:
a goblin will try to escape and raise alarm by opening doors;
orcs, fimir, zombie, skeleton, skaven: 1 AD (white shields hit);
chaos warriors: 1 AD (skull and black shield hit);
gargoyle: not applicable; in my game, a gargoyle is in fact an animated statue which means he can't lose his weapons;
mummy: I think I'm gonna give my mummies weapons (mini conversions, that is) and when they have them, they get 2 AD weaponless (white shields hit).
ogres: 3 AD (skulls hit)

That's my solution to that problem; the Twist Wood spell is useful as is in my game.

the original text is also very useless. It only states that it twists wooden weapons. So then what? monsters can't attack at all?
I think I'll leave it like I made it. Elves probably won't choose that card anyway :P You can only have 3, and there are better spells to use.

Daedalus posted a list of weapons with enough wood in or on them to castrate the use of them
and I agree with him.
Practically everything except swords and daggers is affected, in my humble opinion.

yeah, but if you do that, and an Elf player chooses this card, the DM will simply use the goblins and orcs with swords a lot instead of the cleavers, axes and flails. in my opinion, an orc is an orc and a goblin is a goblin, regardless of the miniature you use. So to keep it fair, and mostly to keep it from getting confusing, I just let it affect all weapons. It's just 1 monster losing 1 attack die. No big deal.
