General Rules & Regulations for Quest Contests. Please note that individual contests may have additional and/or alternate rules.

Single Quest Contest Types

Game System Only
Milton Bradley Only
Unrestricted
Solo Quest

Universal Rules

Anyone may submit to the contest
Only one entry per person
Entries may not be previously released quests
Entries may not be previous contest entries
Entries may not be part of a community quest/quest pack project
Entries must be in English (alternate translations may accompany the entry)
Entries must be complete & received by the contest closing date in a legible format - PDF, Quest Map (JPG, PNG, TIFF, GIF) plus Quest Notes document (TXT, DOC. DOCX format not accepted)
Entries should follow the North American HeroQuest Rules (Monster BP, Chaos Spells, Artifacts, etc)
Judging will take place on Ye Olde Inn Forums by Champion Members Only during a designated voting period

Game System Only Rules

Entries are restricted to contents of the North American Game System

Milton Bradley Only Rules

Entries are restricted to content of Milton Bradley published HeroQuest Systems & Quest Packs (North American & European)

Unrestricted Rules

Entries are not restricted to HeroQuest contents or quantities
Entries containing Copyrights and/or the Intellectual Property of others must receive usage permission from the Rights Holder(s)
All Unique Material (Tiles, Cards, etc) must be provided, or available on Ye Olde Inn (please provide a link list)

Solo Quest Contests

Solo Quest Contests may follow any of the above rule sets
The Quests should be designed for only one Hero (Entrants Choice, unless specified)

Contest Prizes

The Winning Quest will be re-published by Phoenix, to be hosted at Ye Olde Inn and HeroQuest by Phoenix (Artwork is not required, but must be eligible to be used in a distributable format. Author will be contacted and kept up-to-date on progress.)
Additional Prizes may be available, see specific contest forum for details.

I'd enjoy this, as long as plenty of time was allowed. Some of us have busy lives, you know.

drathe - while I know I'm not great at mailing things (still have one thing I need to mail off to some
poor soul that asked for it almost a year ago, I think) - I could offer up some base game system loot
as a prize, if you want. I will make sure to mail it in good timing.

Hmmm.....prize would be interesting, might draw a few more people. I could certainly chip something in.

How about voting for the winner? A poll or should people vote by PMing a designated person?

I think the rules above cover most everything, except "Quest Type". How about Single Quest, but whatever the author wants in it as long as any needed aides are supplied (cards, tiles, etc)?

We could just post contest entries in a thread with all needed aides. How long a submission timeframe would you suggest?

I'd say make it half a year for good measure.
This would be september.

Then again, someone would have to organize it. And don't look in my direction.
